Welcome to our website. I, Ray Hill owner/primary instructor of Outdoor Adventures Guide School have 20 years experience as a successful Professional Big Game Hunting Guide in Montana and Idaho. In this time I have guided my hunting clientele to many record book class animals. A particular passion for me is Archery Elk hunting/guiding, and in my 20 years of professionally guiding for archery elk, every person I have guided has had a reasonable shot at a bull, reasonable being a 20 yards or less shot. You may ask why this is important to you? Consider it this way, if you are going to pay a good sum of money to be trained in certain skills, you want to make sure the person training you has the neccessary knowledge and skills themselves. And it is a bonus to you if the persons themselves are active in business they are training you for. Outdoor Adventures Guide School offers you a professional big game hunting guide school giving you instructional training in all the necessary skills you will need to possess in order to become a professional big game hunting guide. Along with training we provide you with exceptional job placement assistance, to date OAGS has a job placement rate of 100%. There are thousands of outfitters in the western states, and the fact is they all need to hire guides whom possess the knowledge to successfully guide their clientele. We do our best to place our graduates with an outfitter they feel will best match with their abilities and guiding desires. There is no need of a so called home study, mail order course as a prerequisite to attend Outdoor Adventures Guide School. In our opinion such a requirement is a scam, as other schools work with booking agents thus "home study course". Here we feel it is totally unnecessary as you will be recieving all the training you need while you are in the class with proper instruction, hands on and in real world situations, the way it should be. There are some things you can learn from books, but guiding is after all about being in the woods, and the only way to fully grasp the necessary skills is by actually doing them. This is why our classes take place in the field, in the mountains of Western Montana. Outdoor Adventures Guide School is NOT one of "Schools" we've all heard about where you pay to set up an outfitters camp, pack his wood, haul his hay, fix his fence or in some cases build his house. We are here to provide you with the best possible training there is and to provide you the job placement necessary to get you started in the professional guiding field. That's it you will be required to do nothing more than successfully complete the training you recieve. This class is all hands on training and the bulk of your training will take place in the mountains of western Montana. There will also be classroom days taking place at the camp. The class is split into two parts with one being centered on the hunting aspect of your training and the other being learning horsemanship skills and finally packing with horses. For more information and brochure please e-mail us at outdrsadv@hotmail.com or call (406)-847-0335 primary number or (406)-291-4583 cell and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Also we have a guaranteed job placement program for all qualified graduates with a 100% placement success to date.
